Maintenance Work Will Require the Closure of the Bridge over Cedar Creek-Sussex County
Traffic Information: DelDOT announces to motorists that their contractor will be performing repairs on the bridge over Cedar Creek on Route 36/Cedar Beach Road between Lighthouse Road and Wells Road.
The closure will occur at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 3 until 11 p.m. on Monday, May 17, pending weather.
Detour Routes:
Motorists traveling east on Route 36/Cedar Beach Road will be detoured south on Route 1 to Slaughter Beach Road northeast to Bay Avenue.
Motorists traveling west on Route 36/Cedar Beach Road will be detoured south on Bay Avenue to Slaughter Beach Road onto Route 1 and take Cedar Creek Road eastbound.
Detour signage will be posted for motorists. At all times, residents will have access to their homes but may need to take the posted detour route.
Cedar Creek Marina is looking for a FT Experienced Marine Technician for our boat dealership and marina in Slaughter Beach, DE. Duties to include but not limited to: servicing new and used boats, motors and trailers, and giving customers demos. Work in a shop with heat and AC. Minimum 3 years experience required. Must have reliable transportation.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be holding Safe Boating classes at the Elks Lodge in Milford, DE this spring. You will have three dates to choose from. The cost of the class is $10 per person.
This course will cover: getting to know your boat, getting underway, operating your boat safely, legal requirements of boating, what to do in boating emergencies and enjoying water sports with your boat. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a State of Delaware Boating Safety Certificate by mail. This certificate is required for boaters born after January 1, 1978.

Due to the incoming weather, we will be shutting the water off at Cedar Creek Marina for the season as of today 11/12/19. You are still able to bring your own hose and use our frost free spigot. When calling to request a work rack, you will need to let us know if you need to be placed near the frost free spigot.

Portion of Slaughter Beach Road to be Closed for Bridge Deck Repairs
WHEN: 7:00 a.m. on April 15, 2019 until 6:00 p.m. on May 3, 2019, pending weather.
WHERE: Slaughter Beach Road (Bridge) between Wells Road and Bay Avenue, Slaughter Beach.
WHAT: DelDOT’s contractor Mumford & Miller Concrete will be repairing damage under the structure by placing new sheeting at each end of the bridge deck.
Detour Routes:
Eastbound: Slaughter Beach Road, turn left onto Route 1 northbound, turn right on Route 36/Cedar Beach Road and continue to Bay Avenue.
Westbound: Slaughter Beach Road, turn right on to Bay Avenue, continue onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road. Left turn at Route 1 southbound, next left turn at Slaughter Beach Road.
Detour signage will be posted for motorists.

Marvin and Carol went to the Yamaha test facility in Bridgeport, Alabama Wednesday and Thursday. They were one of the first dealers to see the new Yamaha 425 hp, V8, four stroke outboard. Marvin says, "Yes 425 hp. This thing is a beast and very impressive to run."
